Vin Vin’s story begins with Simi (Nguyen Tien Sy) and his lifelong love of cooking. After arriving in Hungary in 1986, he began sharing the flavors of his Vietnamese heritage with friends, introducing them to the food and traditions he grew up with.

In 2016, Vin Vin opened its first restaurant in Budapest, a city that would become an essential part of who we are. While our culinary roots are proudly Vietnamese, Vin Vin was born and shaped in Europe, bringing together Vietnamese tradition with the influences, culture, and energy of its European home.

What began as a neighborhood restaurant soon grew. In 2018, responding to the enthusiasm of its guests, Vin Vin City opened in the heart of Budapest with a more modern and social dining experience. Today, the Vin Vin family has grown to six locations across Budapest.

Now, our story continues in New York City, where we bring together the Vietnamese roots we started with, the European soul that shaped us, and the American spirit inspiring our next chapter.
